Connecting PhD students with industry Posted in Events, News on July 1, 2021 by Glenda Key. The ANSTO-AINSE-ACDS National Graduate Innovation Forum (NGIF) will connect PhD students with industry representatives to apply scientific thinking to four industry challenges. Challenges have been developed by BlueScope Steel, Romar Engineering, Airbus and Thales Group. Each project will have approximately eight PhD students from across the country working together in a virtual team. Teams will be provided with design thinking training and will be mentored by industry leaders and industry-focused academics. The virtual forum will commence on the 12th of July 2021 and culminate in a final event on the 10th of November 2021. Benefits to students include a transformational industry engagement experience and an insight into potential career pathways. Science and Engineering PhD students from all ACDS or AINSE member Universities are invited to join. Further details and application forms can be found here.
