Science, Health and Engineering Educational Research (SHEER) Centre launched at RMIT The SHEER Centre was launched on 24 September. The Centre has been established by the College of Science, Engineering and Health, and will be a research-informed, knowledge-based leader for the strategic orientation and promotion of the scholarship of learning and teaching in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and health at RMIT University. With a mission to ‘Transform education through research and innovation’ the Centre also provides platform for academic and teaching staff to develop innovative tertiary education approaches that proactively engage with industry and experts worldwide. Professor Marcia Devlin, Director of the Centre for Learning and Innovation and Professional Practice at the University of Ballarat, was guest speaker at the launch, and she strongly endorsed the establishment of the Centre and its aims to build staff capacity in the scholarship of learning and teaching.
