The IOL Forum: Fostering Genuine Inquiry-Oriented Learning in our Classrooms Posted in News, Teaching and Learning on May 29, 2014 by ACDS Web Admin. This forum seeks to promote the types of active-learning strategies that fall under the umbrella of what is often called Inquiry-Oriented Learning, IOL. Keynote Speakers Prof. Les Kirkup (University of Technology, Sydney) will open the forum drawing on his ALTC National Teaching Fellowship, which has inspired change in science classrooms over the past few years. Dr. Gerry Rayner & Dr Chris Thompson (Monash University) will talk about some of the challenges and successes of an interdisciplinary approach to introducing IOL-type activities across the Faculty of Science 10am-3pm Wednesday, July 2nd, 2014 Monash University, Clayton Lecture Theatre S2, Building 25.
