This year we are moving to Melbourne and will meet at the Deakin City Campus on Monday 30th June and Tuesday 1st July. Prof Gregor Kennedy leads off a series of presentations on the effective use of learning analytics. Prof Belinda Probert and Prof John Rice will introduce a discussion on the academic workforce and balancing research and teaching priorities. Prof Craig Zimitat will present ideas for effective assessment and will facilitate a case study discussion exploring real assessment dilemmas. In addition, the conference will hear from the two 2014 ACDS TL projects; Mind the Gap (addressing maths diagnostics and underpreparation) and the SMART directory which collates online resources for learning and teaching in maths and science. Science discipline networks and projects will report on recent work and we’ll introduce the new networks in agriculture and environmental science. For more details see our Events page.
