Please note that the Conference has been cancelled for 2022. The Australian Council of Deans of Science (ACDS) is holding a national forum to showcase emerging organisations and cultures engaged in collaboration between university researchers and companies. The forum will hear from organisations and from industry and university personnel involved; their collaborations, their shared goals, how they work, what sustains their collaboration, and the nature of their innovations. The inaugural USIF will be held on November 24th – 25th . The main event is at the University of Technology Sydney and will also be live streamed allowing for online participation. The focus of the 2022 forum is on Industry-University science collaborations involving organisations such as research institutes, Australian Research Council Industrial Transformation Research Hubs and Industrial Transformation Training Centres. The forum includes keynote speakers, panel discussions and opportunities for networking. Participants will hear from university and industry people involved in existing collaborations: their experiences of and models for sustaining collaboration; their approaches to research translation and commercialisation; and novel career pathways emerging for industry and university researchers. Further information including the Program and details of Keynote speakers and how to register are provided on the ACDS – USIF webpage.
