WIL in Science Work-integrated learning (WIL) is the provision of learning experiences that enable students to reimagine their education in broader contexts, particularly those in which potential career paths might lie. The WIL Guide for Science is designed to step you through the process of designing, implementing and refining a WIL program for science. It is set out so you can step in at any point, no matter your stage of the WIL journey. The Guide is focused on how WIL can be implemented in science courses, but draws upon lessons and expertise from other disciplines in which WIL is more common-place. We consider the roles and perspectives of WIL stakeholders – students, employers and industry bodies, and universities themselves – and link you to useful resources, examples and case studies. Sources for the Guide are listed on the Resources page and appear as rollovers on citations. If you have examples of your own work in WIL to share, or useful resources that you think should be included in the Guide, please contact us at acdsteachinglearning@gmail.com.
